Throttles

Twist and thumb throttles for some older model electric scooters and bikes. These throttles use a 5K Ohm potentiometer to control the vehicle speed and they are only used on a few select brands and models of electric scooters and bikes.

5K Ohm Throttles

Twist throttles for non-variable single speed electric scooters and bikes. These throttles use an on/off switch to control the vehicle speed and are used on electric scooters and bikes that have a single speed off-on controls.

Single Speed Throttles

Pedal assist sensors are used on electric bicycles to solely control the power output of the motor, or used in conjunction with a hand throttle for both pedal and hand throttle control of the motor, or used in conjunction with a hand throttle and a switch which is used to choose either the hand throttle or the pedal assist sensor control of the motor. Pedal assist sensors are commonly referred to by the acronym PAS.

Throttle speed limiters control the top speed that the vehicle can go and are often used for training young riders or for limiting the top speed of an electric vehicle so it will have a longer range.
