Shipping Terms and Conditions

USPS, UPS, and FedEx Shipments: For USPS Ground Advantage the delivery time after an order is placed is usually between *5-8 business days and for USPS Priority Mail shipments the delivery time after an order is placed is usually between 3-6 business days. For FedEx and UPS Ground shipments the delivery time is usually between 3-8 business days. The closer the delivery address is to our warehouse the faster the shipping company will be able to deliver the package. These shipping times are an estimate only and not a guaranty. Factors such as orders placed on holidays, delays made by the delivery company, bad weather, natural disasters, or unusually high order volumes may delay the estimated delivery time of your shipment. Some of our products such as modification kits and battery packs with soldered on wiring harnesses are custom made after the order is placed, so please allow additional time for orders containing these type of products to be delivered.

*USPS Ground Advantage shipments going to Alaska and Hawaii ship by boat so they take longer.

 

UPS and FedEx Express Shipments: Orders placed on weekdays before 12pm noon Pacific Time with UPS and FedEx 3-Day, 2-Day, and Overnight shipping options will ship out on the same business day if possible. If same day express order shipping is not possible due to circumstances out of our control then we will try to contact you before 5pm Pacific Time to let you know. Express shipment orders placed on weekends and holidays are treated as orders placed before 12pm noon Pacific Time on the following business day. UPS and FedEx shipping times are for business days only and do not include weekend days or holidays. Due to the impact of Coronavirus both UPS and FedEx have suspended their money back guarantee for all shipments so on time delivery is no longer guaranteed.

 

Signature Required: A signature may be required for the delivery of a package. Whether a signature is required or not is at the discretion of our shipping manager and depends on the value of the shipment and the location that the package is being delivered to.

 

Unclaimed, Refused, and Incorrectly Addressed Orders: Orders placed with UPS and FedEx shipping options which are unclaimed or refused are subject to return shipping fees that are equal to the original shipping fee. Orders placed with UPS and FedEx shipping options which are incorrectly addressed are subject to return shipping fees if returned or address correction fees if delivered. Reshipping fees or return processing fees will apply to unclaimed, refused, or incorrectly addressed orders which are returned back to us by the carrier.

 

Additional Shipping Fees: Orders placed with UPS and FedEx Ground, 3-day, 2-Day, Overnight, and International shipping options may be subject to additional shipping fees for large items due to extra dimensional weight fees charged by the carrier. We will notify you in this case and give you the option to pay for the additional dimensional weight shipping fees or cancel the order.

 

International Orders, Customs and Duty Fees: International orders may be subject to customs, duty, and handling fees. Payment of customs, duty, and handling fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Unpaid customs, duty and handling fees will result in the package being refused and returned back to us with additional return shipping fees charged by the carrier which will be deducted from the refund issued to the buyer for the returned order. Buyer is responsible for knowing the import regulations of their country and for not importing prohibited or restricted products. Orders seized by custom departments due to containing prohibited or restricted products are not eligible for refunds.

 

Orders Lost In Shipping: Orders that are lost by the shipping company will be reshipped or refunded after the shipping company accepts the lost shipment claim. Orders with a shipment tracking status of delivered are not eligible to be reshipped or refunded.

 

Battery Shipping: Battery orders placed with FedEx shipping options may sometimes be shipped with equivalent UPS shipping options for logistical reasons.

 
Returns and Exchanges Terms and Conditions

Returns and Exchanges: ElectricScooterParts.com will process returns and issue refunds for items that were purchased in the last 30 calendar days. Buyer must fill out and submit our online RMA Form and wait to receive an RMA number from us before returning an item. The RMA number should be clearly and legibly written on the side of the package that the item is being returned in

Products must be returned in new and re-sellable condition. Products which have been installed, used, altered, or damaged are not eligible for return. Products which have been damaged in return shipping are not eligible for refund. Shipping fees are not refundable and the buyer pays for return shipping. A 10% return processing fee will apply on returned merchandise. This return processing fee helps cover the cost of labor and packaging materials for shipping the order to you, and for the cost of labor to receive, inspect, refund, and restock the return. Returned products that are received in damaged condition are subject to a return processing fee up to 100% depending on the item's condition.

Speed controllers are sealed inside of clear plastic packaging and are not returnable once the packaging has been opened. We do not accept returns on custom-made sprockets, chain sold by the link, or special order parts..

 

How do I return an item? Follow the steps shown below to return an item.

 

Step 1: Submit our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Form:
Complete and submit our online RMA Form. After submitting this form a representative from the returns department will verify the information and email you an RMA number if the authorization is approved.

 

Step 2: Wait for the RMA number to arrive:
Wait for us to send you an RMA number before returning an item. The RMA number should be clearly and legibly written on the side of the package that the item is being returned in. After your RMA number is issued it will expire in 15 days if the product is not returned to us.

 

Step 3: Package item for return:
Package items securely and seal in a cardboard box. Heavy and fragile items should be shipped back in a new cardboard box with adequate padding and void filler.

 

Step 4: Ship package:
Mail the package to the address below. Please be sure to securely package and insure your shipment for we cannot take responsibility for parts that are damaged in transit or packages that do not make it back to our warehouse.

Step 5: Check your email:
We will send you an e-mail to notify you that your return has been processed. Returns are normally processed within 5 business days after we receive the return. After we process a return we will issue a refund back to the payment method that was used to pay for the order. Sometimes it takes a while for the refund to appear back in the account. Some credit and debit card companies will issue the refund within a few days, while other companies can take between 1-4 weeks to issue the refund. Refunds issued to PayPal accounts will appear in your account immediately after we issue the refund, however it will be in the form of PayPal funds. These PayPal funds may be transferred back to your credit card or bank account through PayPal, or they may be kept in your PayPal account to pay for other purchases in the future.

 

How do I exchange an item? To exchange an item simply place a new order for the items that you really need and then send the original items back as a return (see instructions for returns above). Once we receive your return we will issue a refund to your credit card or PayPal account. Exchanges of equal or greater value are eligible for a restocking fee waiver. Please create a Support Ticket to request a restocking fee waiver on your return after you have purchased another item to replace it.

 

What if I receive a mis-shipment? At ElectricScooterParts.com we are committed to delivering the right products and quantities to our customers. We employ several quality and quantity checks before an order leaves our warehouse. If you have received an incorrect item or an incorrect number of items please submit a Support Ticket to let us know. We will be more than happy to assist you with correcting the mis-shipment.

 

Who pays for return shipping? Since we offer so many low priced parts for sale we simply can not afford to pay for return shipping like other websites do that only sell higher priced items like shoes. For a return, you are responsible for the cost of returning the merchandise. However, if we’ve made a mistake and sent you incorrect merchandise, or you received damaged merchandise, please notify us immediately. We will reimburse you for the cost of returning the package back to us, and we will not charge you for the shipping costs of the replacement merchandise.

 
Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty Policy: Batteries and battery packs have a 12 month limited warranty. All other parts and accessories with exception of the excluded products listed below have a 30 day limited warranty unless a warranty with a longer timeframe is stated in the product's description. Warranties apply to the original purchaser and are non-transferable. Modifying, altering, removing terminals or connectors, or repairing a part voids its warranty. Normal noises, vibrations, and operating characteristics are not covered under warranty. Warranties do not extend to incorrect installation or to overloading, misuse, or neglect of products. Products that are damaged due to accidents are not covered under warranty.

Products excluded from our 30 day warranty: Due to the delicate nature of installing speed controllers and the possibility of damaging them during installation from a miswiring, or of damaging them from connecting them to a faulty part, or of burning them out after installation from overloading, speed controllers do not have warranties. Consumable parts including tires, tubes, belts, brakes pads, and brake shoes do not have warranties.

Products covered under warranty will be repaired or replaced at our discretion and are not eligible for refunds. Warranty claim products must be sent back to us for verification of manufacturing defect at the buyer's expense. Photographs of the installed part and/or vehicle may be required for warranty claims. Products with manufacturing defects that are replaced or repaired under warranty will be shipped at our expense to addresses in the United States with USPS First Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, FedEx Home delivery regardless of the original shipping method used to ship the product. Products with manufacturing defects that are replaced or repaired under warranty will be shipped at the buyer's expense for international orders. Products returned for warranty service which work and do not have factory defects will be shipped back to the buyer at the buyer's expense.

The manufacturer shall be solely responsible for any damage to person or property arising from the design, manufacture, and distribution of it's products, and we accept no liability for such damages. We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from products that we distribute.

Shipping Damage Terms and Conditions

Shipping Damage: Shipping damage claims must be filed within 7 days after the package was delivered by the carrier. All packaging materials including boxes, foam boards and pellets, and paper that were used to ship the product must be kept in an undisturbed condition for inspection by the carrier. Upon request of the carrier the product and packaging material must be made available for inspection by the carrier during regular business hours. Detailed photographs or video showing the damaged product and packaging material will facilitate a higher chance of the carrier accepting the damage claim without inspecting the product and packaging in person.

 

How do I file a Shipping Damage Claim? Follow the steps shown below to file a warranty claim.

Complete and submit our online Shipping Damage Claim Form. After submitting this form a representative from the customer service department will contact you with further information regarding your damage claim.

 
Other Terms and Conditions

Prices: All product and shipping prices are in US dollars. Bank card charges for order placed outside of the US will be converted to the currency that the bank card is issued for. For example a $10.00 US dollar order may be charged as $14.00 in Canadian dollars. To estimate the exchange rate between the US dollar and the currency of another country we recommend using an online Currency Converter.

 

Sales Tax: Orders shipped to California are subject to 9.75% state sales tax. Orders picked up in Scotts Valley, California are subject to 9.75% sales tax.

 

Specifications: The specifications of parts listed on this site are provided by the manufacturer and/or our measuring or testing of the initial batch of parts that we received and are subject to minor variations due to the manufacturing process.

 

Compatibility: Parts listed on ElectricScooterParts.com for certain vehicles may not be compatible if the vehicle has been modified, special ordered, or manufactured with substitute parts.
