an average of 11-12 mph.
Q: How far can I ride
using the ETC EXPRESS A: Total distance with minimum pedaling is approximately
10 miles. Total distance varies with road conditions, load,
hills and temperature. Longer distances can be achieved by
pedaling along.
Q: How long will the batteries
last A: Approximately 60 minutes of continuous power with
minimum pedal assist. This varies with road conditions, load,
hills and temperature.
Q: What kind of
batteries are used in the ETC EXPRESS A: There are two 12-volt, 12 amp-hour sealed lead-acid
batteries inside the pack.
Q: What is the life
of the batteries A: The batteries will recharge up to 500 times, depending
on depth of discharge cycles. That's more than 1 ® years of
riding everyday.
Q: How long does it take to
recharge the batteries A: Batteries are fully recharged in about 4-6 hours with
the built-in battery charger.
Q: Can I put the ETC EXPRESS
electric power pack on any bike A: Yes, the custom rack fits most any style of bicycle
from 16" to 26" regardless of the tire size.

permanently attached to the frame A: No. The portable ETC EXPRESS can be easily removed
from the rack.
Q: How do you open the rack lid A: Simply push the rack lid latch forward and lift the
lid to install or remove the ETC Express Pack.
Q: Why doesn't the
motor engage unless the bike is moving A: The ETC Express Pack is designed with a ®safety
interlock® feature which prevents the motor from operating
inadvertently. This feature also conserves the batteries by
allowing the rider to pedal before the power assist comes on.
Simply start pedaling and engage the handlebar mounted control
above 4 mph to ride with ETC Express power. Release the control
to coast, or before applying the brakes.
Q: How much does the
electric power pack weigh A: The electric power pack unit weighs 27 lbs.

is higher than usual. Once you are underway, it is very easy to
balance and the additional weight is not noticeable.
Q: Why does the red light appear on
the ETC EXPRESS when riding A: The red light comes on to notify the rider that
approximately 95% of the electric power has been used, and it is
time to recharge the batteries.
Q: Why does the green
light appear on the ETC EXPRESS during recharging
A: The green light indicates that the electric
power from the wall outlet is properly connected to the internal
battery charger, and that the batteries are being charged.
